| A third-generation Peyton, a NASCAR racing family, Maggie (Lohan) dreams of following in her father's (Keaton) footsteps, but her brother (Meyer) is chosen instead. She chooses a different career and a month before she leaves home, her father gives her the gift of a lifetime: Herbie, the Volkswagen Bug. But she soon discovers that Herbie has a mind of his own, just what she needs to snag a car-racing victory against the egotistical champ Trip Murphy (Dillon).
