| Packed with upbeat tunes, Khalaf's 10-track album is very pleasant to the ear. Even the saddest songs have an uplifting melody and, despite its quite repetitive lyrics and rhythm, the first track, "Bardo Sodfa" (Also By Coincidence), is enjoyable due to the Lebanese singer's sweet and playful voice. Khalaf's vocal abilities are especially impressive in the album's slow-paced and emotional tracks, and especially in "Gany We Aly" (He Came and Told Me), sung in the Khaleeji (Arabian Gulf) style. "Rah El Wafa" (Gone is Loyalty) is one of the album's most touching songs and you will find yourself listening to it again and again. |
