| Karam sings in the Lebanese dialect with his husky voice, showing an extreme attachment to his native language. The title track is an impressive love song. In "Laban El-Asfour" (The Bird's Milk), Karam harshly attacks his lover for never being satisfied, no matter how hard he tries. And the rest of the album will make you decide that you want to learn to dance the Lebanese Dabka. The use of the traditional Egyptian flute and drums in "Shefta" (I Saw Her) conjures up a brilliant blend of Egyptian and Lebanese sounds. |
