| Like many Arabic entertainers, El Maghraby focuses on romance, but he does it in his own style. The romantic song "Dona," in which he sings with his soft voice over a simple guitar tune, is sure to please not only love-struck listeners, but also all fans of music. Other Western influences can be found in the use of drums rather than the tabla: Though they are a bit too heavy at some points, their sound provides a nice breather. El Maghraby's music does, however, go back to a more traditional style in songs like "Ahla Kelma" (The Best Word). |
